Hi there! I'm Rachel - the wife, momma, and big dreamer behind Balanced Home Apothecary.
Having sensitive skin since birth made me naturally curious about the ingredients found in everyday products. Early on, I noticed that many mainstream options didn’t align with my desire for simpler, more gentle alternatives.
That’s where my journey toward more natural living began. Over the years, I developed a love for thoughtfully chosen ingredients and having simple, natural tools to support our family’s daily routines.
In 2020, I left my job to stay home with our children — something I had always dreamed of. But being a bit of a social butterfly and a lifelong dreamer, it didn’t take long before the desire to share my passion with others began to bubble over.
With the birth of our children, I found myself frequently researching essential oil blends and wishing for a one-stop shop. I saw a need to eliminate the research and burden of having to buy 10 oils for one blend and create ready-to-use essential oil products. Hence, Balanced Home Apothecary was born!
I lovingly call myself "oil bestie," as it is my passion to educate and equip, and take the fear out of switching to natural alternatives. I aim to create a unique and less intimidating approach to use and understand the power natural ingredients can bring to your life.
